AmBX technology is now accessible for the professional and the consumer markets in three compositions, PC peripherals, discontinued Philips Kits and Mad Catz Cyborg PC Gaming Lights. amBIENT XC is AmBX’s professional irradiating control unit that is used for mercantile, architectural, arena, and adventure industry and also for high end AV investitures. (You have to download a custom mod for Quake Wars to enable the Ambx effects.) For titles that don’t sustain the system, you’ll have to do some programming with the included software. Late in 2008, Philips advertised that a software developer’s kit, scheduled for discharge in early 2009, would make Ambx compatible with even more titles.

Finally, we could have achieved without the wrist rumbler. The vibration was too extreme, and the system was too uproarious, even at its lowest setting. We also thought the rumbler was too high, which put our wrists at a displeasing angle to the keyboard.
